The Slimes: Fun with Fluid Simulation

Producer | Carnegie Mellon University ETC Project | Spring 2019

This was a VR prototyping project through Carnegie Mellon SV for our client EA Maxis. The deliverable was a game that took inspiration from Maxis titles; giving guests god-like powers to users and utilizing unique forms of environmental control in a slime-themed world. 

The gameplay experience focused on creature evolution and behavior simulation. The project required technically rigorous work which included exploration into soft body physics and fluid simulation to give our players the feeling of slime. Furthermore, players were be able to mold the virtual world around them in tactile ways and form new creatures through quirky interactions.
