I am a producer and experience designer with a passion for story. I love seeking out engaging mechanics and finding creative ways to use new technologies. I am particularly interested in the magic that happens when the real world and virtual world overlap. In 2019 I received my Master of Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. 

Advanced Technology & Interactives Tech Lead | Universal Creative |  Aug 2019 - Current

  • Building on systems designed for Super Nintendo World technology and enabling gaming, interactive experiences, and augmented reality within theme parks.

  • Technical lead for blue sky attractions and vetting future interactives experiences & rides through technical/creative mock-ups. 

  • Managing 15+ vendor scopes and contracts, both hardware, & software. Focus on guest sensing, systems integration, edge computing. 3 patents filed

  • Teaming with a project lead to develop an interactive experience with a focus on mixed reality, AI, and robotics. One patent filed. 

  • Managing budget, schedule, & vendor contracts; building mock-ups; designing pipelines for animation, hardware, & systems Integrations

Producer | EA Maxis + Carnegie Mellon |  Jan - May 2019

  • Led a team of 5 Graduate students through the design and development of a VR experience for our client EA Maxis; gameplay focused on AI-driven characters & gesture-based interactions with Leap Motion

  • Currently acting as project manager for a Verizon VR research initiative

  • Leading a team of 7 research assistants through design, prototyping, and testing activities

  • Exploring use of real world props, depth sensing cameras, and wearables in location based VR

Producer & Designer | Carnegie Mellon University | Aug 2017 - May 2018

  • Prototyped performative musical interfaces utilizing full-body tracking in VR

  • Designed, procured, and constructed a 12 speaker surround-sound installation for pairing ambisonics with VR; supplemented with a DMX light show

  • Drafted and iterated level design in Unity and worked along-side team programmers to refine interactions

  • Led design and requirements sessions, created personas, user stories, and journey maps

  • Produced mock-ups for a peer-to-peer recognition application with social and competitive components; pitched to a major federal organization

  • Trained incoming new hires on rapid design and agile methodologies

  • Led deliverable reviews and project management activities with client executives on a weekly basis

  • Drove creation and acceptance of $8 million in project deliverables

  • Organized onboarding, client change-management, and training activities

  • Coordinator and intermediary for team of 10-15 testing leads; helped to build a relationship between our leads and the client

  • Developed station branding across print, web, and broadcast

  • Wrote promos and stroyboarded tv spots; designed billboards, ads, and web content

Set Designer & Assistant Art Director | Freelance | May 2011- Dec 2012

  • Crafted props, built sets, and scouted locations for prisons, hospitals and ranches with a focus on Sci-Fi themes

  • Worked in reality TV, including a home design show for HGTV, as well as film and commercial productions
